The CannaArt Brunch is the finale of the BUD Summit weekend, where patrons can relax, eat, and enjoy great artistry. We are showcasing some very vibrant local talent at this event who believe in our cause. We are partnering with the Students for Sensible Drug Policy in hopes to contribute to a scholarship for a student who has lost federal financial aid due to a marijuana related conviction. According to the Drug Policy Alliance, the Higher Education Act was amended to “deny federal financial aid to any student with a drug conviction, so that one brush with the law can permanently destroy a student’s prospects for a successful future.” We are fighting to change policies like these and enable business through our efforts at the BUD Summit. Ultimately, we will infuse art and policy to enable the future of the cannabis industry. Join us at Smith Commons in Northeast, Washington, DC starting at 11 AM for live art, music, and food.
